Your Questions. Answered.

What should I wear to class?

We suggest wearing something comfortable and the same goes for the shoes you wear. Comfortable with a non-slip sole is best. We’ll provide an                        apron, in case things get a little messy!

        Are the prices per person?

The prices are always per person. Date nights and all. After all,  you can just take your self to a date night!

Do I need to bring anything to the class?

Just bring your self! We’ll provide everything you need for the class, but if you want to bring your own knives or a notebook and pen, please feel free.

How hands on will the classes be?

Each class will have a detailed description about what to expect so you will be able to choose a class that you are comfortable with.

Can I schedule a private cooking class for a group?

Absolutely! We love to host groups for private events.  Whether it’s a corporate team building event, a group of friends looking to have fun or to celebrate a special occasion, bring your group to Food Lab and enjoy a memorable time together!  Contact us to set up.

I love the space at Food Lab, can I rent it out for an event without taking a cooking class?

Yes you can.  We’ve created the space at Food Lab to be enjoyed whether you’re cooking there or not. We would love to host your next gathering, whether it’s for work or pleasure. Please contact us for availability, catering and pricing.

How far in advance should I book a private event?

We strongly recommend booking your event 2 months in advance in order to secure your date. However, if you’re not a planner and live more spontaneously, you can book an event based on availability at that time.

What if I book a class and then can’t make it?

We hate when this happens… But if you are unable to attend a class that you have booked, you can transfer your spot to someone else. Simply let us know about the situation and provide us with the name of the person who will be taking your place.

        What is your refund policy?

If you notify us at least 2 weeks prior to your booked class we can issue a store credit to be applied to another class of your choosing. If you notify us with less than 2 weeks notice, we regret that no refunds can be issued. At this point we have committed staff, resources and food planning based on our confirmed bookings.

I’d like to gift a class to a friend, what’s the best way to do that?

Give them a Food Lab gift card! Purchase your gift card online and we will mail it,  or stop by and get one.  We are located at 1825 Pearl Street, Boulder CO 80302

Are kids allowed to come to the class?

We love having young chefs in the kitchen and we offer children’s cooking classes with a menu geared towards kids tastes and skills. We will also have family classes but prefer to keep the adult classes for adults only.

How can I find out about the latest class offerings?

I have a suggestion for a class I would love to take and think others would be interested,
who should I contact about that?

I attended a class at Food Lab and love the knives that I used, where can I buy them?
